Students and staff at Sawmill dressed from head to toe in signature Dolly Parton style on Friday to celebrate the beloved singer. The event aligned with the date September 25 as a playful tribute to her iconic song, “9 to 5.”

The entire school gathered Friday morning in the auditorium for a special community singalong, where the staff and students sang “Put a Little Love in Your Heart” and “9 to 5” together. Principal Lisa DeRienzo spoke about Dolly Parton and her love for reading books, and shared Dolly’s most famous piece of advice on being yourself: “Find out who you are. And do it on purpose.”
