At the Intermediate level, we believe every student should have opportunities to explore interests, discover strengths, think creatively, and engage in meaningful learning experiences beyond the traditional classroom setting. Through a variety of enrichment opportunities, students are encouraged to become curious, independent thinkers who are willing to take intellectual risks, collaborate with others, and challenge themselves.

The Schoolwide Enrichment Model (SEM) provides enriching and challenging learning experiences designed to develop the strengths, interests, and talents of all students.
At the intermediate level, Schoolwide Enrichment is a dedicated, stand-alone class built into the school schedule, providing students with consistent opportunities to participate in enrichment as part of their educational experience. The program is led by a dedicated enrichment teacher and takes place in a designated enrichment classroom specifically designed to support hands-on exploration, creative problem-solving, collaboration, and specialized projects. This dedicated time and space allow students to immerse themselves in meaningful learning experiences that extend beyond the traditional classroom curriculum.
The model incorporates gifted education practices into the broader school experience, creating opportunities for students to engage in advanced-level thinking, creativity, innovation, and problem-solving.
Through Schoolwide Enrichment, students are provided with opportunities to:
- Discover and develop individual strengths, talents, and interests
- Participate in a broad range of hands-on and project-based enrichment experiences
- Engage in challenging, high-interest learning opportunities
- Explore topics through creativity, critical thinking, design, and problem-solving

Lunch N’ Learn is an optional enrichment opportunity that gives students the chance to participate in engaging, hands-on activities during recess.
Students participate according to a rotating schedule provided by their teachers. Sessions feature creative challenges, investigations, collaborative activities, and projects designed to encourage students to experiment, problem-solve, and think outside the box.
Lunch N’ Learn provides a fun and informal setting where students can explore new interests, develop new skills, and enjoy learning in a different way.

The Challenge & Discovery Program is a gifted education opportunity designed for students who demonstrate advanced learning potential through a multi-criteria screening process.
This interdisciplinary, STEAM-based program provides inquiry-driven learning experiences that encourage students to ask meaningful questions, investigate complex problems, think critically and creatively, and develop innovative solutions.
